To tax or not to tax?


How do you solve a problem like the deficit while keeping the electorate on side? The Chancellor has promised next month's Budget will be a "Budget for Growth." But could that include tax cuts?

Already Boris Johnson the Mayor of London has called on the Government to set out "a clear direction of travel" on reducing taxes in this Parliament.

But our chief political correspondent Norman Smith reports that some Tories are pressing Mr Osborne to cut taxes now.
