It's four months since British troops withdrew form Sangin in Afghanistan, leaving the Americans in the front line.
But what of British troops who are still operating in central Helmand province? Are they making any headway against the Taliban there?
The Evening Standard's defence correspondent, Robert Fox, is there and told the Today Programme that although the military are being cautious about their success in the province, it looks like "we're in for another Spring and Summer of decisive action".
