Bob Diamond: 'Giving vent to public anger'

Barclays chief executive, Bob Diamond, emerged relatively unscathed from a largely hostile session before the Treasury Select Committee yesterday, saying that big bonuses were here to stay.

Conservative MP David Ruffley asked him whether he was grateful for the tax money which was helping to shore up his industry.
