The country's ancient trees are being celebrated this week and audited by the National Trust.

These ancient trees are said to have silently witnessed some of the world's greatest historic moments - Henry VIII's liaisons with Anne Boleyn and Newton's Eureka moment to name a few.

The Trust's ancient trees adviser, Brian Muelaner discusses why these wise trees are so important to British history.
