Public-private pay gap 'overstated'

Public sector workers are paid more on average than their private sector counterparts, if pensions are taken into account, according to a recent report by the Office for National Statistics.

Carl Emmerson, of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, analyses the accuracy of the comparison.
