Communities 'need public services strategies'

A senior police officer is urging ministers to protect police forces from the worst of the public spending cuts, so they are in a position to deal with "social and industrial tensions" resulting from the government's austerity measures.

Chief executive of the charity RSA Matthew Taylor, Labour MP Frank Dobson and Mark Littlewood of the Institute of Economic Affairs debate the consequences of the shift of public services to the private sector.
