What is Hawking's M-theory?

Theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking has said that he sees no necessity for God in the creation of the universe and that philosophy is dead.

He explains why M-theory is the best explanation for the existence of the universe.

Science correspondent Tom Feilden explains M-theory and its significance to science.
