Ofcom call for 'common currency' in broadband

Communications regulator Ofcom says most broadband customers are getting less than half the download speed they're paying for - and the situation is getting worse.

Speaking on the Today programme, Ofcom chief executive Ed Richards said he was working towards a "typical speed range" similar to miles per gallon, by which consumers would be able to properly compare speeds.
