Is Jerusalem becoming more Jewish?

US peace envoy George Mitchell is back in Jerusalem this morning to continue his attempt to arrange direct talks between Israelis and Palestinians.

One of the biggest issues between the two sides is the future of Jerusalem, which both claim as their capital and which has been one of many reasons for the failure of a peace process that started more than 15 years ago.

But in that time Israeli activists in Jerusalem have worked steadily - with the help of the state - to make the city more Jewish.

Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen has had rare access to some of their properties in Israeli-occupied east Jerusalem where Jewish activists live behind heavy security.
