Gulf oil spill volume is '700 houses per day'

BP says clean-up costs for the US oil disaster have now passed the $3bn mark as attempts continue to tackle the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

A new type of oil skimming ship is being used, but bad weather means it may take longer than first hoped.

Professor Geoffrey Maitland discusses whether BP is making any progress.
