A&E patient figures rise sharply

More people are turning up at hospital accident and emergency units than ever before. Many of them do not need to be there and it is costing the NHS a fortune. That's what the Nuffield Trust has concluded. Its director, Dr Jennifer Dixon, and John Heyworth of the College of Emergency Medicine, discuss why more people are going to A&E.
