A novel about life in North Korea has won the 2010 BBC Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction.

Nothing to Envy: Real Lives in North Korea by Barbara Demick tells the story of of adversity, resilience and survival of six ordinary people living in the Chongin.

Ms Demick describes the inspiration behind her book.
