The future of the Human Rights Act is still in discussion, Home Secretary Theresa May has said.

The Conservatives promised to repeal the act during their election campaign, but the Liberal Democrats supported the act.

"We're talking about it at the moment. That's part of the process," she said.

"That's what the new politics is about, it's about actually talking together and agreeing an approach that is right and in the national interest."
