Hedge funds 'nothing to do with financial crisis'

European finance ministers are meeting today to discuss new curbs on hedge funds.

The European parliament approved new regulations yesterday.

The tighter controls are expected to highlight differences between the new Chancellor George Osborne and his European counterparts on financial regulation.

Antonio Borges, chairman of the Hedge Fund Standards Board, outlines why the industry is opposed to the legislation.
