Labour coalition talks 'consistent with spirit of manifesto'

Labour has formally entered talks with the Liberal Democrats on forming a coalition government following Gordon Brown's announcement that he intends to step down as party leader.

Olympics minister Tessa Jowell comments on how Mr Brown's resignation and the prospect of a new party leader will influence the negotiations.
