Labour and BNP 'battle for Barking'

The "Battle for Barking" will be one of the most important election fights as the British National Party vies to take control of the council and replace Labour's Margaret Hodge as local MP.

Reporter Andrew Hosken has been following the election campaign in East London.

The full list of standing candidates in Barking are:

Dominic Carman - Liberal Democrat

Thomas Darwood - Independent

Christopher David Dowling - Monster Raving Loony Party

Jayne Forbes - Green

Nick Griffin - British National Party

George Hargreaves - Christian Party

Margaret Hodge - Labour

Frank Maloney - UK Independence Party

Simon Marcus - Conservative

Dapo Sijuwola - Restoration Party
