Huhne: Violent crime 'too high'

Crime is not playing a part in the general election campaign, but is a major issue in some parts of the country.

Both the Conservatives and Lib Dems have criticised Labour's tackling of crime while the government claims that crime has fallen since they came to power in 1997.
