Greece calls on emergency loans

The International Monetary Fund and the European Commission have promised to act swiftly after Greece said it needed to activate a 30bn euro rescue package agreed in principle last week. Europe editor Gavin Hewitt explains how Greece has been living beyond its means in recent years, and its rising level of debt has placed a huge strain on the country's economy.
