Humphrys on debt


As individuals, we are deeper in debt today than we have ever been before. On average, we owe about half our annual income - and that does not include mortgages.

As part of his election campaign series on how Britain has changed since Labour came to power, John Humphrys has been looking at how we got into this, and what it says about whether we are more materialistic than previous generations.
