Social networking site Facebook is set to announce new online safety measures for its UK site following a meeting with the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop) in Washington yesterday.

The site has been facing increasing pressure to add a "panic button" to help protect children from being groomed by paedophiles.
