'Scandal, not abuse, worries Pope'

The Vatican has defended the Pope against allegations that he was responsible for delaying Church action against a paedophile priest in the US.

A letter sent by Benedict XVI, when he was a senior Vatican official, to an American diocese in 1985 shows that he tried to resist the defrocking of a priest who had molested children.

Rome correspondent David Willey explains the latest scandal.
