Robots 'will be in our homes in 10 years'

Would you like help with your housework? Researchers have created a robot that can pick up a towel from a pile of laundry, fold and then stack it.

Pieter Abbeel, assistant professor at the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and Noel Sharkey, professor of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the University of Sheffield, look back on how robotics have developed in the past 30 years.
