On his first visit to Afghanistan this week, President Obama was upbeat about the progress being made in the country.

But there seems to have been no let up in the reports of British casualties in Afghanistan.

Major Richard Streatfeild has been sending the Today programme reports of his tour with the Rifles in Helmand province

Since returning from leave last month, three more of the men under his command have been killed.

In his latest despatch Major Streatfeild describes how their colleagues have come to terms with the loss.
