Blair 'had to play a role'

Former prime minister Tony Blair is to play a key role in Labour's election campaign with a brief to target David Cameron's "failure" to modernise the Conservatives.

Mr Blair will begin his assigned task with a speech at his former constituency headquarters in Sedgefield.

Matthew Taylor, former head of policy at Number 10 under Tony Blair, and Daniel Finkelstein, former adviser to Conservative Party, comments on Tony Blair's return to the party.
