Prevent 'not a waste of time'

MPs are criticising the government's anti violent-extremism strategy for alienating Muslims as many believe it is being used as a cover to spy on communities.

A Communities and Local Government Select Committee report found that money had been spent on "unfocussed and irrelevant" projects.

Maajid Nawaz, director of the Quilliam Foundation, comments on the strategy's managing of violent extremism.
