Jimmy Wales: Google verdict 'ridiculous'

The decision by an Italian court to convict three executives of Google for the appearance on the world-wide web of an autistic teenager being bullied has sent a tremor through the world of internet service providers.

The judge said they broke Italian law by allowing the video to be seen.

Jimmy Wales, co-founder of the free online encyclopaedia Wikipedia, which is said to be visited by 350 million people every month explains the wider implications of the case.
