Can Afghanistan lead own army?

Reports from embedded journalists suggest that the day when the Afghan Army will be well led and able to perform complex operations independently, rather than merely assist American missions, remains far off.

US General Paul Eaton, who was in charge of training the Iraqi army in 2003 and 2004, discusses how long it could be before the Afghan Army could lead its own operations.
