World food production 'can be increased'

The problem of how to feed a growing global population is set in a new paper. The population is expected to rise to 9 billion by 2050, more than 30 percent higher than today.

Professor John Beddington, one of the report's authors and the government's chief scientific adviser, outlines the future of food production.
