'Stepping stone' towards global action on banking


Finance ministry officials from the world's richest economies are meeting in London today to discuss how to avoid a repeat of the financial crisis of 2008.

The meeting, which is to be chaired by the City Minister Lord Myners, has received added urgency in light of President Obama's comments last week urging that banks' activities be radically curbed. Business editor
