Brown calls for Afghan 'burden-sharing'

The prime minister has said that the UK can succeed in Afghanistan, but that greater "burden-sharing" was needed with Nato allies.

He told Today presenter Evan Davis that he was in a process of persuading Nato nations to take a greater part in the conflict, but that he also had assurances from President Karzai that the process of tackling corruption in Afghanistan had his backing.
