Audio slideshow: Return to Haiti

Four hurricanes in as many weeks devastated the poor Caribbean nation in the autumn of 2008 - leaving around 1,000 people dead and 800,000 homeless.

A year after witnessing the floodwaters, reporter Mike Thomson returned to the poorest country in the western hemisphere - and found that many people are still suffering. He visited the town Gonaives.
