Baghdad attacks 'politically motivated'

A senior adviser to the Iraqi government says that 'Iraqi elements in Syria' for the suicide bomb attack on Baghdad which left 132 people dead.

Saad Yussuf al Mutalibi, International Affairs Director at the Ministry of Dialogue & Reconciliation, believes that the attacks were politically motivated and not the result of sectarian tension.

Ad he added that Iraqis based in elements in Syria were inciting violence and "facilitating the access and movement of suicide bombers from other neighbouring countries, through Syria, into Iraq".
