Stalin relative defends dictator

Stalin's grandson is suing a newspaper for defaming his grandfather's reputation.

Yevgeny Dzhugashvili is taking the action over the claims in "Novaya Gazeta" that the dictator personally signed the death warrants of countless Soviet civilians.

Jacob Dzhugashvili, Stalin's great-grandson, told Shaun Ley on Radio 4's The World At One that the former Soviet leader was "greatly misunderstood".
