LGA considers eco town challenge

The Local Government Association, which represents councils across England, is considering a legal challenge to the government's plans for 10 so-called eco-towns, on the grounds that they by-pass normal planning procedures. Paul Bettison, who chairs the environment board of the LGA, explains why it is considering legal action.
