Police training under scrutiny

Police training has been under scrutiny this year - in particular the way police are trained to deal with demonstrations and protests.

After the G20 summit in April, the Inspectorate of Constabulary recommended that public order training should be standardised across forces in England and Wales.

Guest editor PD James wondered whether we are training our police to take over some of the responsibilities of social workers. Home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw investigated the issue.
