Eight19's solar power 'mission' in Africa

Simon Bransfield-Grath, chief executive of solar panel company Eight19, is on a "mission to replace kerosene with solar power" for lighting in Africa.

Today's Friday boss told business presenter Simon Jack that his company is not a charity, but a full profit business hoping to "start off with a small solar power system" and eventually increase its usage.

Solar power does a have a future in the UK, he says, but its market first needs to reach a "point of stability".
