Become a first volley master with Boris

Nail that first volley with Boris Becker's masterclass

There are not too many multiple winners of the Wimbledon title but Boris Becker can claim three wins.

And to do that you have to be a master of the serve and volley game.

Now he's teamed up with the BBC Sport tennis team to show you just how to follow up the serve with a fabulous first volley.

Watch Boris' masterclass

Boris' top tips for nailing the first volley:

  • It's important to go behind your opponent with the volley

  • The natural instinct of any returner is to go back to the centre of the court

  • Focus on where the player has just been - not where he's going

Now go out and hit those volleys!
