Mark Foster

Hi, I'm Mark Foster and I'm one of Britain's most successful sprint swimmers.

I've held both the world championship and world record in the 50m freestyle and butterfly.

Making a good start can be the difference between winning and losing a race - it's as simple as that.

So check out my race start masterclass and hopefully you'll be making a massive splash in the pool!

My top tips for the perfect start:

  • Pick a start position you feel most comfortable with

  • Go for distance not height on your dive

  • Try to carry your speed through the dive and into your swimming

So get in that pool and start like the best!
