Step two
We are now going to take the arm action one step further. In basic butterfly all you really did was get the arms moving over and under the body. To get a better arm pull you now need to start to think about how your arms are working in the water. Here are a few different things to work on. Start by putting your hands in the water with your palms facing outwards so that your thumbs go in first, try to keep your elbows slightly bent.
