Take Mark Foster's sprint challenge
Around the Academy:

Mark Foster
Can you beat Britain's fastest swimmer?
Hi, I'm Mark Foster, the new world 50m freestyle short course champion and this is my Sport Academy training challenge.

This one couldn't be simpler. All you have to do is swim 25m freestyle as fast as you can, and get a friend to time you.

I'm Britain's fastest swimmer over 50m, so let's see how I get on over 25.

Watch my challenge

The fastest stroke is obviously the front crawl, and this challenge is all about a rapid burst of speed and power.

I did it in 10.6 seconds. I don't expect you to beat that, but if you can do it in around 16 seconds you're doing very well.

Good luck!
