![]() Nick struts his stuff on London's South bank
![]() ![]() ![]() Growing up in London there were very few skate parks so I'm more of a street skater. I'm currently taking a year out from education to concentrate on my skating and take part in videos and tours. I'm lucky enough to have my boarding equipment and clothes supplied by my sponsors Blueprint. I definitely prefer skating streets. The best thing about skating is freedom but in a park you are trapped. Because park skaters use ramps they can do more extreme tricks. But street skating is technically more difficult. I first got into skating seven years ago - my older brother and his friends taught me the basics.
We learnt to skate outside our house but as we became more confident we started going skating in central London. It can be hard to find somewhere to skate in the city - you get kicked out of everywhere. There are so many people walking around at the best spots!
