Meet the Mr Cool of skateboarding!
Around the Academy:

Paul Shiers

Hi, I'm Paul Shier and I'm a professional skateboarder. I've been skateboarding for about 15 years now.

I started when I was 13. Skateboarding was massive then, everyone had one at school.

I thought I'd get one too and I just carried from there. Everyone else gave up as they got older, but I kept on going.

I'd say the best thing about being a skateboarder is that I get to travel around the world for free!

Billie Piper
Billie Half-Pipe anyone?

I spend a lot of time travelling and get to meet loads of new people, it's a really cool way to earn a living.

I was also in the video of Billie Piper's hit, 'Girlfriend'.

The song was at number one for a few weeks. If you look carefully, you can see me skating around in the background!
