Amir Khan will be up against fellow Olympians
It's back - and it's packed with more of your favourite sporting stars than ever!
The latest series of Superstars will once again see top sports stars compete against each other in a series of events, collecting points according to their score or time.
You'll see Formula One drivers take on boxers and Olympic medallists up against snooker players as 40 male and female contenders battle it out to be the best. Reigning men's champion Du'aine Ladejo will be back to defend his title, while Denise Lewis heads the list of the women challengers. And for the first time there's the "Masters" section with eight former stars from yesteryear. But there is a catch. To prevent Stephen Parry destroying all-comers in the pool, or Bradley Wiggins blitzing his heat in the biking, every contender is withdrawn from their "specialist" event. For safety reasons, athletes can also drop out of the event they fear most. For example, a weak swimmer wouldn't be forced to attempt a 50m dash through the pool or a scary stint in a kayak. So who can we expect to see running, swimming and shooting for victory when the show gets under way? Top stars like boxer Amir Khan, kayaker Helen Reeves, sprinter Marlon Devonish will be among the star studded line-up, as some of the biggest names in sport go head-to-head. The first of six action-packed shows starts at 5:45pm on Sunday 16 January. Don't miss it!
