Introduction
Knowing how to turn is the key to snowboarding. The ability to change direction quickly and precisely allows a snowboarder to regulate their speed, stay out of danger and go wherever they want on the mountain. In general terms, a snowboard is like a pair of skis. If you keep it flat, you travel in a straight line. To change direction, you use the edges. The object of the game is to produce perfect carved turns, when the edge holds the snow and the board changes direction without slipping, leaving an S-shaped trail in the snow.
