Ross Green in action at the Winter Olympics
Introduction
Ross Green is one of a rare breed of skiers who are genuine all-rounders and can compete at a high level in all the disciplines; downhill, slalom, giant slalom and super-G. Green, from Falkirk in Scotland, competed at the Winter Olympics for the first time in February 2002. He finished a remarkable 15th in the combined event, which consists of two slaloms and a downhill race. It was the best result of Green's career and it meant the 24-year-old received a World Class Performance grant from the National Lottery for the 2002-03 season. This season Green will concentrate on the combined, with races in Kitzbuhel, in Austria, Wengen in Switzerland and at the World Ski Championships at St Moritz.
