Brendan Devenney of Donegal is one of Ulster's top players

Normal games last for 60 minutes, two halves of 30 minutes.

Senior Intercounty and National League games are played over 70 minutes and time may be reduced for games for teams aged 15 or under.

Time is added on at the end of each half for incidental or deliberate delays - meaning injuries or substitutions.

If a game in a knockout competition is drawn at the end of the 60 or 70 minutes then extra-time of 30 minutes, divided into two halves, is played.
