Eoin had an up and down Championship debut
Eoin burst onto the senior County scene with a goal 30 seconds into his Championship debut against Armagh. Before that he was part of a successful Tyrone minor (under-18) team which won the all-Ireland title in 1998. It wasn't quite the memorable debut it had the potential to be though. "I only played the first-half on my debut against Armagh at Clones," recalled Eoin.
"I scored a goal after about 30 seconds but don't remember touching the ball after that and was taken off." He does have some good advice for young players wanting to follow his path to the top. "Just keep at it and keep practicing. It will hopefully come off for you if you keep working hard."
