Rugby's a great game to play.

Whether you want to be a star on the international scene or just want to play for fun - there's something for everyone.

So check out our guide - and get involved!

Mini Rugby
If you're aged between 6 and 12, why not give Mini Rugby a try.

It's just as exciting as the real thing - but not quite as rough!

Tag Rugby
Tag Rugby is similar to mini rugby and is ideal for beginners, although it's popular with players of all ages and abilities.

Tackles are made by removing a tag attached to the ball carrier with velcro.

Touch Rugby
All you need is a ball, a group of friends, plenty of playing space...and off you go!

There are more registered touch players Down Under than the 15-a-side game! Now this fun version is taking off here too.

Dragon Rugby
If you live in Wales you're spoilt for choice! Because there's also another version called Dragon Rugby.

Aimed at beginners aged 7-11, it's different to the full game but it's still a great way to learn about the sport.

And it's brilliant fun to play!

Sevens
Sevens is a shortened version of the full game.

It's particularly popular during the summer months in this country when the pitches are hard and ideal for running rugby.

Even though a match lasts just seven minutues each way, the pace is fast and furious so you need to be fit to play!

Fifteen-a-side
Think you're ready to stop pussy-footing around?

If you've mastered all the basic skills you'll be itching to move onto the full-contact fifteen-a-side version.

You'll probably get your first introduction to the full game once you get into secondary school.

Most clubs run junior sections too.

Wheelchair Rugby
Wheelchair Rugby is the world's fastest-growing wheelchair sport.

It's played by people who have suffered spinal cord injury.

In fact, it's the only team game for tetraplegics, or those who have upper limb disability.

Played indoors on a basketball court, it's a fast and furious sport involving teams of four.
