It was a golden year for Freddie Flintoff
We asked you to review the year's sporting events.
And our reviewer for all things cricket is Joe, 14, from Widnes.
How did your interest in cricket begin? My uncle and granddad have always played, and they got me into it. I guess I didn't have much choice really! How often do you play cricket? As much as possible! In the summer I play every Sunday for my local club, and my friends and I get together whenever we can. If the weather's good, I'll probably be playing. Who's your favourite player? Why? Who else but Freddie Flintoff?! He's just a brilliant slogger of the ball and really great to watch. But at the same time he seems really normal - laid back and down to earth. What is your season's cricket highlight and best player? England beating the Aussies in the ICC Champions Trophy has to be the highlight - I think everyone's been waiting a long time for that! And as for the best player. Freddie, of course! Did anything disappoint you about cricket this season? Why? My county, Lancashire were relegated which was really disappointing. But look out - we WILL be back! How would you sum up the 2004 cricket season? That's easy - it was a great year for England (pity about Lancs!).
