England's new look should give them an extra edge
England's netball team is one of the best in the world - and their brilliant new kit means that whenever they run out on court they look the part as well!
Created by top designer Madeline Press and manufactured by Mitre, the kit is designed to give the England girls the edge over their opponents - and not just in the fashion stakes! Like England's rugby stars, the netball team have developed a kit that provides the optimum in comfort, ventilation and freedom of movement.
So how has this been done? The dress has built-in body suit with bra for maximum support and freedom of movement. It's crafted from a material called Tricotel, which is tight fitting but also light and breathable. The team first wore their new gear at last summer's World Cup in Jamaica, where the temperatures soared to over 90 degrees. To help the players cope in the searing heat, the kit has in-built mesh inserts to help regulate the body's temperature and minimise discomfort. It's all about style, comfort and versatility - and England's stars hope it will help propel them to the top of the world rankings!
